Jan 18: Look Back, From Afar Pt 5

All this week, we’re going to approach 2019 plans a bit differently. Move past the To Dos, the lists, the goals.

All you have to do is look at someone you likely understand better than you think: your Future Self.

This week, we’re going to jump ahead, spend a few with Future You, and look back. Each morning this week, we’ll dive a little deeper. (Missed one? Find the past Doses here)

** Ask yourself these questions and answer truthfully. These are powerful questions, and worth exploring with pen and paper. It will take 10 minutes, but trust us---we've done this, and its worth it.

How do you want to look back on 2019, this time next year?
Who do you want to be in 2019?

Ready? Here we go with Part 5…

Jump forward, to January 17, 2020.

Say hi to Future You for a moment….

Then write what comes to mind when you say “ I am…”

It could be how you feel, what you are doing, what matters to you….

Simply put, the shift from ‘To Do’ lists to “I am” can help us to think about who we want to be and the life we want for our Future Self in a way where we really own it, and embody it. Life isn’t about to do lists and goal lists, it’s about being, living, feeling, and owning your story and experience in this life.

I am

I am

I am

Explore these today, write out your response, and then get rolling on your morning. Make it a priority to start today focusing on what matters to you, what feels right, and take a few steps towards the Future You who’s waiting for you.

As always….
