May 2: That One Thing
This morning, we're keeping it really simple.
What do you want.
What comes to mind when you ask yourself that? A few things? Nothing at all? One shining answer?
What do you really want?
Sit with that.
Then ask yourself: what is the single could I focus on throughout the next month that would, without a doubt, bring me closer to what I want?
Start with a bunch of things, play with what you would get out of dedicating yourself to each of them and then whittle it down to a single one.
Does that align with the Summit goals you filled in on Monday? We ask, because sometimes we find the summits we choose in DED are not really what we deeply want. Our drive and motivation can start to drag as the month goes on unless our goal and our why is strongly in alignment with the life we actually want.
So start this month smart--make your summit right, make sure you really want the goals you are working on each morning. Change them if you need to, but don't let this month pass you by, chasing a 'should' when you could be taking real steps towards what you want. So check in with yourself, get it straight, and get after it.
