Stories.

We all have them.

And whether we choose to believe it or not they run our lives.

Some are really good.

Telling us we should go for it, we are loved, we have worth, and that we are capable.

And some are bad for us.

They tell us we aren't good enough, we are fat, we don't know what we're doing, we aren't going to get that job [before we've even applied], we shouldn't chase our dreams, they [fill in whatever story you got].

This morning, we want you to start paying attention to those stories.

If you are like most of us, you have a ton of them inside you, and they creep in all day long.

Over the next few months we will come back to stories and dive deeper into them. For today, choose one.

Sit with it.

Start to understand what it is and how it's shaping your life. Is it helping you, serving you, or holding you back?

Taking time to understand your stories is key. Figure out which are good, which are bad, which you want to keep and which you need to dismantle.

And then, one by one, begin dismantling the ones you don't want.

Understand that the stories are just that – stories – and you can re-write them anytime you want.

Sit with them, isolate them, and stop the cycles you don't want.

It isn't easy, but your future self will thank you for it.
