We spend so little time in the present moment that it’s anything but ordinary.
— Andy Puddicombe

When you stop doing for a few minutes, where in time are you living?

While planning and taking steps towards the future is important, and reflecting and learning from the past are all part of growing, the present can often be neglected as a result.

What can be done to shift this, to more fully experience the now?

Get comfortable and tune in for this short Tedx Talk from Andy Puddicombe, the co-founder of Headspace, a digital health platform that provides guided meditation training for its users. Maybe you've heard of the app or tried it yourself. He is a former Buddhist monk with a degree in Circus Arts, and he founded Headspace, together with Richard Pierson, in London in May 2010.

Whether or not you meditate, learning to cultivate a bit of silence and slowness now and then in our busy lives is key to cutting through our patterns, our stories, and the noise of it all.

So hit pause on your morning for 10 minutes, hit play on this video, then spend some time in your present moment this morning.

See how that feels.
